
2013 - 2015
The secondary school completion rate declined from 89% to 84% as students progressed from First Year to Fourth Year, indicating challenges in retaining students beyond their sophomore year.

February 2017
City Ordinance No. 2017-020-03 was passed on March 6, establishing the City College of San Jose Del Monte to address the lack of accessible public higher education. An initial budget of ₱71,846,000 was allocated for land development and construction.

2018
A budget of ₱106,550,117 was planned for operational readiness, but the college delayed its opening to ensure quality standards.

2019
The college commenced operations in August with a budget of ₱64,019,992. Initially, it offered five programs:
- Bachelor of Science in Criminology
- Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship
- Bachelor of Science in Public Administration
- Bachelor of Science in Entertainment and Multimedia Computing
- Bachelor in Physical Education

2021
The college received institutional recognition from CHED via Board Resolution No. 539-2021 on September 7.
