Dr. Roger S. Ambida officially took the helm as the new president of the Association of Local Colleges and Universities - Region 3 (ALCU-R3) on September 11 at Clark Marriott Hotel. ALCU- Region 3 is a regional group of local colleges and universities in Central Luzon, which includes institutions like the City College of San Jose del Monte (CCSJDM). This association plays a significant role in promoting quality education and professional development in the region, fostering collaboration among member schools. The association also engages in policy discussions and the promotion of local higher education, ensuring that member schools meet high standards in instruction and research. As he steps into this new role, Dr. Ambida reaffirmed his commitment to the vision and mission of ALCU-R3, ensuring that the association continues to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of local higher education in the region.

Dr. Roger S. Ambida, President of City College of San Jose Del Monte, took the helm as the inaugural president of the Bulacan Association of Local Colleges, Inc. (BALCI) during an oath taking ceremony held at CHED Regional Office III on October 7, 2024. Administered by CHED Regional Director Dr. Lora L. Yusi, the event marked the official formation of BALCI, aiming to boost collaboration among Bulacan’s local colleges.
The newly inducted BALCI officers include Prof. Dolores Cajucom of Pambayang Dalubhasaan ng Marilao as Vice President, Atty. Robert John I. Donesa and Dr. Emiterio L. Tiburcio from Baliwag Polytechnic College as Secretary, Dr. Liberty D.G. Pascual of Norzagaray College as Treasurer, Dr. Reneliza C. Sta. Ana from the Polytechnic College of the City of Meycauayan as Auditor, and Engr. Arman M. Giron of Bulacan Polytechnic College as Public Relations Officer.
Dr. Yusi praised their commitment to advancing educational standards, noting plans to explore joint initiatives in research and internationalization.
